Fool Proof Guide For Car Insurance

Fool Proof Guide For Car Insurance
Car insurance is not an option when you purchase your vehicle, it is a legal requirement. Whether you purchase third party or fully comprehensive you will need to insure your vehicle before you even step foot in it.

Which insurance?

Third party insurance will not cover your costs in the event of an accident if it's your fault or you do not take the details of the other driver; it will only cover the other party's costs. This is recommended if you have a cheap vehicle.

Fully comprehensive insurance will cover all party's costs for any situation regardless of who is to blame. This is recommended if your vehicle is expensive.

Cheaper premiums?

There are certain methods which you should follow to ensure your premium is as low as possible. Park on a drive or in a garage as opposed to on the street, avoid picking up speeding tickets or points on your licence, do the pass plus advanced driving course, pay annually rather than monthly and try the pay as you go policy where you only pay for when you drive the vehicle.

These points will all reduce your policy and may help to save you hundreds.

Read everything

You may stumble on a deal which might seem too good to be true, check the excess on the policy, it will usually be high if the premium is cheap. Enter your own personal details very carefully as any errors may void the contract.
